FAQ & Knowledge about Motor Spindles: X30

The X30 motor spindle is offered with the following standard configuration:

  • Power: 4.0 kW (S1)
  • Voltage: 400 V
  • Number of poles: 2-pole
  • Rated speed: 24,000 rpm
  • Maximum speed: 25,000 rpm
  • Spindle bearings: steel bearings
  • Sensors: temperature monitoring at the motor, clamping status monitoring (ATC), piston monitoring (ATC, DTC), speed sensor (ATC, DTC)

The X30 motor spindle is available with following power options:

  • 3.0 kW
  • 4.0 kW ((standard configuration)
  • 5.0 kW
  • 6.0 kW

Each X30 HF spindle is available as a 2-pole or 4-pole version.

The X30 motor spindle is available with the following tool interfaces:

  • Manual tool change (MTC): ER25
  • Semi-automatic tool change (QTC): HSK-C32
  • Automatic tool change (ATC): SK30, HSK-E32, HSK-E40

The X30 motor spindle can be configured for a maximum speed of up to 35,000 rpm, making it ideal as a milling spindle for precise and high-speed machining processes.

Following speed levels are available:

  • 20,000 rpm
  • 25,000 rpm (standard configuration)
  • 30,000 rpm
  • 35,000 rpm
  • 40,000 rpm

Yes, all speed options up to 40,000 rpm are also available with the air-cooled X30 HF motor spindle. This makes the X30 on of the highest-speed air-cooled high- frequency spindles on the market.

The combination of high speed, compact design and air-cooled technology makes the X30 ideal for demanding applications in CNC milling machines and robotic systems.

The SPINOGY X30 motor spindle is ideal for heavy-duty machining of steel. At the same time, it is also highly suitable for aluminium, wood, plastics, and composite materials, making it very flexible for a wide range of machining tasks.

Depending on the version, the X30 high-frequency motor spindle can reach a maximum weight of up to 12,9 kg and is therefore one of the milling spindles with particularly high-power density.

  • MTC version: maximum 9.7 kg
  • QTC version: maximum 9.8 kg
  • ATC version: maximum 12.9 kg

Thanks to its high-power density, even smaller CNC milling machines or robots with lower payload capacities can be equipped with significantly more power.

The exact weights can be found in the respective technical data sheets.

The X30 motor spindle is, depending on the cooling version, available with different IP protection classes and can be adapted optimally to the respective operating environment.

X30 air-cooled spindle:

  • IP20 (standard configuration)
  • IP50 optional (with filter mat)

X30 liquid-cooled spindle:

  • IP54 (standard configuration)
  • IP65 optional

This makes the X30 milling spindle suitable for both clean production environments and more demanding applications with increased protection requirements, for example in the presence of dust or splashing water.

The SPINOGY X30 motor spindle is equipped with two high-precision GMN bearings:

  • One bearing at the shaft nose.
  • One bearing at the shaft end.

Advantages of the 2-bearing design:

  • High rigidity in combination with a short shaft end
  • Less heat generation compared to systems with multiple bearings.
  • Lower maintenance costs compared to systems with multiple bearings.

Bearing options:

  • Steel bearings (standard configuration)
  • Hybrid bearing/ ceramic bearings (optional and depending on speed option)

The X30 milling spindle can be adapted optimally to different applications and requirements.

Yes, the SPINOGY X30 motor spindle is specifically designed for industrial continuous industrial use and is suitable for multi-shift operation, ensuring reliable performance even under constant load.

Yes – the high power-density SPINOGY X30 spindle makes it particularly suitable for use on robots.

Since robots often have limited payload capacity, they profit from our compact and high-performance milling spindles. In this video the SPINOGY X30 is operated with the Kuka robot.

Yes – the SPINOGY X30 high-frequency spindle is universally applicable and can be operated on almost any CNC machine. It offers the flexibility to be used both in existing machines and in customer-specific systems.
